Show Time, October 2010

Hey it is show time again at Lakewood 400, in Cumming Georgia. This weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be our biggest show of the year. You won't want to miss it. I was able to sneak in today and get some pictures. Here are some great things there that caught my eye.....

It's Fall Y'all at Lakewood 400

Fall and Halloween decor abound at Carol's Potting Shed.......

I am absolutely in love with these beauties from Chris Loeb and Patricia Dibona, from http://www.threebirdsstudio.com/ and dibonadesigns.com. Such talented ladies, but you gotta see um in person.......

Tobacco Road Primitives, with Marie Webb is always a show stopper.......

Pete and Peg always have a piece of furniture I can't live without. all for now plan to come and visit us sometime and see all the fabulous finds at Lakewood 400, North Georgia's best kept secret!

Country Americana Antiques

Peter and Peggy Lesiewicz, originators of Country Americana Antiques, are among the early dealers of the Lakewood show, and have a large following of satisfied customers.
















They carry a nice assortment of shabby chic furniture, and Peter constructs custom bookcases and cabinets from old architectural pieces.


























Peggy carries wonderful linens, and vintage chenille bedspreads and pillows.




















They always have wonderful white painted furniture of all sizes, and they are the nicest people around, so be sure to stop by booths 33, 34 and 35 in Hall A!

Northern Exposure Antiques

Northern Exposure Antiques, owned by Jay and Linda Howell, is located in the very back of Hall H in booths 507, 508, and 509.




The Howell's specialize in European and Indian antique furniture, and carry a nice selection of great primitive furniture.
































Pictured are:

a German kitchen cupboard;
Indian buffet with antique blue tiles;
a Teak square pegged mirrored cupboard;
primitive wardrobe;
Indian rails;
and a German pie safe (at bottom).







































Jay and Linda also carry unique pieces like the British Campaign boxes, Barrel trunks, and fabulous iron and wood architectural pieces of all kinds, to name only a few.




Be sure to stop by and see all the other interesting antique pieces in this booth--I guarantee you will see something fabulous that you can't live without!

Bob Babiarz Antiques

Located at the end of Hall H (which is the hall between the restaurant and the office) in booths 520 and 521, you will find Bob Babiarz, and his eclectic range of interesting antiques.









Bob has just about every category covered in his displays, from quality paintings, to fine china, to media collectibles, to primitives. He always has something very unique among his offerings.









Among some of the items pictured are:
Crown cranberry compote and glasses; Roseville and McCoy;
W.S.&S.
German turn of the century goblets; and a collection of cobalt glass.




























Bob always has a nice variety of collectible paintings and prints like these by: Audubon; Rizzi (lithograph); Ray Harm (Ducks); Currier & Ives; and Gruguin.






























Bob is very interesting and knowledgeable, and has been an antiques dealer for over 10 years. Before his current profession, he was in the building industry, and was a casino dealer for 10 years at Turning Stone Resort in central New York State.

Grosgrain Annie's Ribbon Emporium......

At the Ribbon Emporium you'll enjoy a step back in time upon entering JoAnne's nostalgic recreation of a turn-of-the-century millinery shop.....filled with beautiful hand-dyed ribbon and a multitude of supplies perfect for any seamstress or "altered art" artist......all displayed in unique antique pieces.




























This unique shop is located in a room all it's own.......just inside our main entrance at the start of Hall D.
































JoAnne personally hand-dyes everything from vintage Swiss 1920's silk ribbons, to burlap, to vintage rayon velvet, to birds and even tiny Christmas trees.








Also featured, are handmade collage tags, ribbon flowers, altered art supplies, new ribbon sold by the yard, hand-dyed lace, ephemera, spools, and so much more.














There is so much to see, and it is all so uniquely displayed, that you should take extra time to discover all the creative details that JoAnne has carefully seen to in her interesting shop.
